How a race day goes

Before
Paste the roster weeks ahead. Pick lanes, scoring (timer or finish order), and trophies. Print the QR poster.
Race day
Check cars in. Press Start: every car runs once in every lane, dens cycle round by round. Tap finishes or type times.
Finish
Settle ties with a run-off, pick finalists with wild cards, show standings when you are ready for awards.

What families see

The heat on the track and the one on deck, updated every few seconds.
"Find my racer": pin your child and see exactly when they race next.
Standings only when the race manager turns them on, so the awards keep their suspense.
Big-screen mode for a projector in the gym.

What we store about kids

First name, last initial, den, car number, car name, and race results. That is the whole list: nothing a printed heat sheet on the gym wall does not already show. No last names, birthdates, photos, or contact details.

Every car races in every lane the same number of times, and a slow lane cannot decide the result.
